Does anyone give their dog CoEnzyme Q10?

    Hi!
I was wondering if anyone has their dog on CoEnzyme Q10. If so, for what condition and did the veterinary advise it?

Snoopy has supraventricular tachycardia and is on beta-blockers. When I asked the vet about the supplement CoEnzyme Q10, she told me it would not benefit his heart condition.

Some of the on line sites advise CoEnzyme Q10 with beta-blockers, some say no. I was curious if anyone may of had their dog on this supplement that has the same heart condition as Snoopy.

    Thanks, Barb

:) THANKS HONEYBEARS! You are always on top of it and quick to respond. I have added this site to my favorites, along with the other numerous sites I have regarding Q10. I even have an on line veterinary trying to help me find out if Q10 should be given to a dog with Snoopy's heart disease. He says I should give it to Snoopy. I sent him the negative comment other sites had, that don't approve. So he is researching for me and will let me know.

But meanwhile, I was curious when is it, that a vet will advise a dog to take this supplement. For example, is it only when a dog has renal disease?

    Thanks again!

barb, sorry, cant help you on the renal end. as for the Q10 hubby has been taking for a year now, and he just got this gleaming report from the dentist about how he couldnt believe how his gums were wonderful. One of the sites I found said one study showed great results with reversing gum disease.
