Does anyone recall the post about the cat stuck in the house

A couple of months ago, someone posted a situation about a neighbors cat that was kept inside. As I recall, it's owner/mother had passed away and the woman's adult kids were supposedly caring for the kitty.

At one point the poster had a chance to see the inside of the house and the kitty was short of food and living under horrible conditions.

The poster had posted a pic of the poor kitty sitting in a window watching her kitties playing outside. It was so sad.

The poster was wanting to confront the owner but I lost track of the post since then.

I was wondering if there was any update. Does anyone recall this thread?

The situation has gotten better but Lizzy is still alone the majority of the time. My sister spoke with the neighbor and voiced her concern about Lizzy not having water that time we went into the house. He promised to make sure she has plenty of water....having food out wasn't an issue....she had plenty. He is planning on moving in with his girlfriend and will be bringing the cat with him. The problem is he just spends most of his time at the girlfriends house. He has, however, been home more than before, so it's gotten a little better.

Just to be clear...true, her water bowl was empty, but her living conditions were not horrible. The house was neat and clean and left exacty how it was when Anne passed. I would hear the A/C running on the hot summer days. I'm not trying to downplay the situation...it's not ideal...and not having water is horrible....but I think that since we have talked to him he has gotten better.

I'm glad to hear she's doing alright. The photo of her in the window just broke my heart and has stayed with me since you first posted it.

    Cassie...I'm sorry....

Thank you for thinking of Lizzy. It is heartbreaking...I see Lizzy in the window all the time and want so much to sneak into the house to give her some love. I could see the headlines now...Woman arrested on breaking and entering charges to check on local kitty...
