Does millet spray go bad??

Hey everyone.. I just picked up a package of millet spray at the pet store... Before when I have bought it, in my opinion it seemed really fresh and a light brown color.. but this time it is a little darker and smells a little musky.. I am thinkin that because it is dried it should not pose any threat to them if it is a little old.. I have put it into a zip lock bag and put it in the fridge to keep it better, but do you guys think this is a problem? thanks.. and also I have started to grow my own millet.. it just looks like grass right now, do I have to change the light cycle in order to make it "bud" or will it happen with time? Thanks...

    Hi,
My millet seed sprouted on its own without changing anything. With the millet spray I'm not sure if it goes bad but if their is any doubt I wouldn't feed it to the birds, just to be on the safe side.

I agree if in any doubt about any sort of food never feed it to your birds.
