Hi everyone! I let all three of my girls sleep on my bed at night if they want to, and the only problem I have been having is my black Lab Winnie. She sheds sooo much that I have to vacum my comforter everday! Its getting to be a hassle and if I miss one day there is hair everywhere, it is so gross. I dont mind hair I'm use to it with 3 of them but my comforter is black after Winnie has been on it for one night. I'm thinking of making her sleep on the floor from now on , there is a doggie bed in the room but I feel bad doing that to her. Would maybe keeping a sheet on the bed help? The hair even gets under the covers and all over the pillows. What do you guys do about dog hair on the bed? Thanks :)

I have the exact same problem all my dogs but Topher and Singer sleep on my bed at night. And Solix my Husky sheds so bad on my bed its crazy but I don't have the heart to kick him out he has shared my bed since he was a puppy. So i just like you vacume my my bed  and use one of those lint brushed on my bed. Yeah I'd like to know any other way to deal with this hair problem.

I think a sheet might help. Natalie sheds but not too bad...I can usually just shake out my blankets to get the hair off.

I don't know if this helps, but for me I have a lint brush (the sticky kind) and I use that for my couch.
I have white dogs and a black couch so this helps and is much, much more easy than pulling the vacuum out. Then you can just peel off the dirty one and be ready for the next time.

My uncle has a folded comforter at the end of his bed that his dog sleeps on so his hair doesn't get all over the bed.

CockatielCrazy, I have a husky too!
I make her wear her pajamas before she gets on the bed, it helps a little bit, specifically around the neck where most of her hair is and I have a sheet I put on top of the entire bed once I'm all settled in then I call her up. I tried to confine her to a certain spot on the bed, like the foot or the corner but she just won't have it. Before I can even fall asleep she'll have scooted her way under my arms and be resting her head on the pillow.

I have a lab that used to shed profusely, and, even though this doesn't stop it completely, sometimes changing their food helps immensely. A Lamb and Rice diet with NO WHEAT, that is high in Omega 6 fatty acids can cut shedding down, sometimes by half, depending on what you feed them now.
A company that is notorious for reducing shedding is Nutro (their lamb and rice). I use Blue Buffalo on my girl, that one works great for shedding as well.

Gwen, do you have a pic of her with her PJs on? I would love to see it, my husky probly wouldent allow it but she actually doesnt leave too much hair on the bed.
