It gets pretty darned cold her in Big Bear in the Winter so for weeks I have been looking for a good inexpensive way to heat Pepsi's doghouse and Dowser's will come next but he wont care. Duncan hates heat in the Winter but he can share Pepsi's DH if he needs to.
Pepsi is getting old and hates cold so I thought of maybe a good small oil heater in the DH but I was told they get real hot and could burn her. She will park right up against an electric heater in the winter so that is out of the question.
    So I found this http://www.houndheater.com/ .
It is basically a lightbulb in a metal box, but you can upgrade up to a ceramic lamp eliment for an additional 30 plus bucks or buy one from Amazon for 22.00 bucks. Right now I just ordered an eliment from Amazon.com and will get a good Porcelain/Ceramic light holder to test out with. I even have an old metal tool box I could mount in the DH and stuff the heating parts in if I want to stay cheap.

I saw those but was concerned about her being able to get away from the heat source but still stay warm. I am thinking better to heat the whole DH and if she want to cool off she moves closer to the door. (Pepsi wanting to cool off is a laugh though)
