The editorial in Whole Dog Journal was very interesting (sorry I keep plugging this publication, but it's so wonderful!).

Anyway. It was talking about a trip to Greece where there are a lot of feral dogs. The dogs would attach themselves to groups of tourists. None of them would jump up - they would run up to a person and stand there or sit down. The person would inevitably dig through their stuff to find things to feed them. The dogs ignored people who ignored them and focused on the ones who seemed to like them. When people ran out of food to give them, they'd go and find a new group of people. These last couple paragraphs of the article were interesting:

When I was inGreece, that is exactly how the dogs are, it is so weird to see them lay around on the beach. But they always have a gazillion ticks on them, so i try not to get to close and I'll ignore them close up.
but that is cool and interedting.
