Don't know what to do...

Brie went for her kidney stone x-ray recheck and it's still there. I finally got her on another antibiotic and her urinalysis looks really good now. The vet said to leave her on the prescription food for another month. Here's my dilemna: I'm not giving her the glucosamine/chondroitin supplement and now she's hurting (I think). Is that a coincidence?? I know she was man-handled at the vet's when they put the muzzle on her because I didn't put in on her first (I thought she might let them carry her without it). So I don't know if they hurt her neck or if it's because she's not on the supplement. I used to just pop her a rimadyl but we all know about that stuff now. I don't really even know if she's hurting...she won't come UP the steps and yelps a little when I pick her up. But it's hard to tell with her because if she doesn't want something done to her, she will yelp. I'm just so confused...I guess I needed to vent.

I basically stopped messing with Brie and she's doing alot better today. She was playing with a toy this morning too. I am still carrying her up and down the steps though.

But now Zoey is hurting. She got after a kitten yesterday so I kept her inside the rest of the evening. I thought she was whining because I wouldn't let her back out but at about 2:30 am I took them out and she cried out when she started down the steps. :( She's walking better now but she still won't move her head around very much. Again I'm confused as to what to do for her. I have some rimadyl but I just can't give it to her. She just turned 10 years old and I'm really worried about the side effects. I'm keeping her confined to the kitchen even though I'm off work today and taking her out on a leash. I'm going to wait until tomorrow and see how she's doing so hopefully she won't need any medication. She only cries if she makes a sudden movement with her head.

    Thanks for asking!
