Hi I was wondering which dry dog food is better (puppy formula) Iams or Eukanuba... I need opinions on which is healthier. All replies are appreciated, thanks

I dont like either, I think the best food on the market is APD by Breeders Choice....unless you want to feed raw (someone else will be able to help you with that :) )

Ive recently been looking into pet food again, was thinking of feeding raw but Im having a really hard time finding places near me were I can get the right foods so I started looking into commercial foods again, I did some research on APD many years ago and I still think that is about the best there is.

    Just my opinion.

    Hmmm.....wonder who??

I also agree with neither. Innova, Calif Natural, Natural Balance, Timberwolf, Artemis...basically any food you can't find in a grocery store is good. Grocery store or Petsmart. Most of those foods don't have separate "puppy" formulas, some do, but I know Calif Natural doesn't, but they are OK to feed at all ages if they don't.

If you don't have access to those excellent foods that Eliza and DeLaUK mentioned, PetCo sells Natural Balance which is a decent food. Iams and Eukanuba are both fairly awful. Look at groomers and smaller specialty pet shops for the better foods.

when luther eats iams, he poops about 10 times/day. when a dog is pooping that much, it can't be good. That is how I judge what foods are good and not.
