Ever Hear of the Large Munsterlander?

I just checked this weeks Kippers Photo contest page at:
    http://members.aol.com/iluvpwcs/contest.html
Two of the contestants are Large Munsterlander's. I have never heard of the breed but it appears to be very popular. The AKC does not have it listed but apparently it is recognized in Europe. Here is one of many web sites I found:

    Has anyone ever seen one?

PS. On the contest page I voted for the German Shorthair Pointer named Seven.

Ive seen a couple around, someone was trying to talk me into buying one a few months ago. I live in Germany though, I never saw any in US.

I've heard of Munsterlander's before but I never knew they came in different sizes.

I've only ever seen one before and he goes to the same vet that Rocky does.

They kind of remind me of an English setter crossed with a Spaniel, but they are pretty dogs.

Is there a spaniel that looks a lot like that? bc I have seen a lot of dogs who look like that, but I assumethat they were a spaniel.

I think they look a bit like Springer Spaniels but not as stocky.
