Ever heard of a min. border collie?

I saw one this week-end, it just did not compute, seeing this little minny BC. I have never head of them, identical to the large, but only about 16 inches high and about 2 feet long.

I haven't heard of those, but I have heard of (and seen many) mini australian shepherds, so it's conceivable I guess.

Haven't heard of anyone having a miniature border collie and as far as I know there's no breed called that either.

Are the owners sure it's not a border collie mix. I've seen plenty of border collie mixes that are around 20 lbs but look just like a border collie.

it was a border collie all right, in looks , identical. it was so weird, I wish I had my camera. must be one of these new desginer dogs. Its a lot smaller than a sheltie. i googled and nothing even came up at all,

It wasn't a puppy? I know they have "mini australian shepherds" now, but they aren't a recognized breed. I'm sure you could take any breed and make it smaller (or bigger). Personality changes can very well accompany such things, though.

Yesterday at the kennel I work at there was a mini border collie, or so it looked. He was identical to a border collie, but smaller. He seemed just as athletic though. When I took him out to use the restroom, when he was done he jumped up and touched his nose to mine, lol. He had a lot of energy!
