My sister's dog barked at 3:30 this morning. thinking she just had to go potty i let her out and then called her agian in about 5 minutes. nothing. half and hour later she comes back. i put her in her cage and she barks again at 7:00 i let her out again. suspicoius this time, she comes back 10 minutes later and she threw up. i immediatly ran over and inspected the throw-up to make sure there was no blood or anything. there was blood but it wasn't her's. she had bee out eating a gut pile! YUCK!
Does anyone else's dog do this?

May I ask why there was a gut pile in the dogs reach?? I know when we butcher calves, hogs or deer, we keep the guts for the dogs. All but the stomache, intestines and bladder. All else we cut up and freeze in baggies. If you don't want him eating it, don't keep it in reach.

I haul my guts off and usually dump them in the tank. Great fish food....

My lab eats and brings home everything. I live in the country, and she always brings home deer parts...once a ribcage..legs several times..and once an elk head. Of course, once she brought home a huge plastic bag full of fresh hamburger buns..... :?: It must have fell off a Rainbo bread truck or something! lol
The last couple weeks both Poco(lab) and Molly have been finding lots of dead mice on our walks. I can get them away from Molly, but it's harder with Poco. She'll be walking along, go off the road into the grass, and come back "crunching". So gross.....

Solix and Sydney are my two little nasty eaters lol. Solix expecially. He will run off in our woods with our other dogs and he always seems to find all the dead critters and brings them home. eats them there, or plays a wonderful game of tug a war or chase with it with the other dogs  . Sydney does the same but Sydney is alos our hunter abd kills all the baby bunnies and whatever else she can catch but usually after she kills it she either plays with it or just walks away. But she doese eat the nasty previousely killed critters. I hate it when they do this and i freak out. Luckily neither have done either in a while.

lol i'm glad my dog isn't the only "icky eater" in the world. she knows not to bring it home so she just goes to whereever it is and eats it, yuck! and sams, we are trying to figure out where the gut pile is. my parents won't let me find it and my dad is taking his sweet time finding it so currently i can't do anything about it.
