Hi! Could anybody tell me exactly what I should be feeding my 7 and a half week old puppy. I have a complete dry dogfood that I have been giving him but he doesn't seem that keen. I have heard that young puppies sometimes have rice puding and wheatabix, is this ok?

I feed my 7 week old puppies on canned food mixed with moist mixer twice a day and a complete puppy food twice a day. So all in all they are fed 4 times per day/

Example... Meal 1 canned puppy food and puppy mixer. Meal 2 Complete dry puppy food. Meal3 Canned puppy food and mixer and meal 4 complete.

Each owner and breeder is different on how they feed there pups.
If you give him weetabix make sure you either use a substitue milke like Lactol or Whelpi or goats milk be very careful how much you give of any milk other that the substitue as dogs get diarreah from milk.

i do not believe in giving complete dried food alone to puppies thats why i give canned puppy food aswell.

i've been feeding my pup a mixture of dry w/wet food and she's 5 months old.
Is your dog a big breed? Their is logic now that the puppy formulas make large breed dogs grow too fast putting stress on their joints. You can feed a pup the all stage foods. Dog food companies use puppy formulas to get people to buy their products.
I'm sure this is an opinion thing and I'm not saying it's written in stone by any means. But I've been feeding Molly the all stage foods and she's put on 11 much needed pounds since I got her a month ago. She's growing, coat looks great and she's thriving. But she is a GSD pup too and it's not good to let her get to big too quickly.
I've always added wet food to dry. Yuck can't imagine having to eat food the consistency of cardboard one's entire life.
