I wanted to tell you all something that happened about a week ago. I was on my way to school and for some reason had decided to leave really early. So i get in my car and drive to the end of my street and I see this stray American Eskimo dog. He looks really dirty and thin and is eating some trash on the street. So I have to admit I continue driving to school but I only lasted about two blocks when I knew I had to turn around and find this little guy. I thought that if my dogs ever got out I would want someone to get them off the streets and find their owners. So I go back to my street but I cant find him, so i drive around a bit and end up back on my street and I see the little guy on someones lawn. So I pulled over and parked. Luckily I had a leash from my Vets (the ropey ones) and I had a bag of Syd's food. So I grab a handful of food and the leash and walk over to the dog. Since he was on someones lawn I didnt want to go walking on it so I coaxed him over to the side with food. I finally got close enough and got the leash on him and he cried and rolled on his back cause he was scared, but then he was fine and walked with me to the car. I picked him up and put him in the car(which scared me cause I didnt know how he would react.) So anyways I decided to take him to my Vets to scan him for a chip and give him a bath. Turned out he had a microchip but it wasnt registered. Somehow we managed to find out the number to the breeder he was from(turned out to be a back yard breeder) Luckily they had a record of were they sold him to, which was a pet store. We called the pet store and it turned out the owner of the pet store was the owner of this dog! So she came a couple hours later and picked him up. It turned out that he was a very aggresive dog, but he liked me and was wagging his tail whenever he saw me. It also turned out he was missing for a month!!! She had just about given up. Also he went on some journey b/c he lives very far from where I found him...he was so lucky he wasnt hit by a car or worse! So I had to share this happy ending! He was so happy to see his mom it was so touching. So I highly recomend micro chips!!!

AES must have a thing for wandering off, Luther tries to do that quite often, alot harder now with my giant fence! But before my roommates and I could never figure it out, but he would manage to get out and roam and we would find him pretty far away from home. And I got him from the pound, and they said he was found roaming in some backroads. And he did (and still does) that same thing where he just rolls over. But it is funny, this pound was so unnoticing (don't know if that is a word) The found my dog with a couple of Lab puppies maybe about 6 weeks old and they thougt my (boy) dog was the mother bc he took care of them and put them under his leg like a mom would! These puppies were bigger than he was and were blond (he is white) and he is a BOY! Anyway sorry to get off subject!
