I was petting Jazz the other day and noticed a little flat bug crawlin on her head..she has a little bald patch behind her ear..i originally thought it was a flea..but there is only one of thse bugs.and it is bigger than a flea...any idea what it could be..she does scratch..and Romeo and Caesar dont have any of these things on them....Jazz is tempermental and wont let me look at her very close without attacking me...Thanks guys!!

Theres a parasite commonly known as 'walking dandruff'....(probably because the name is hard to pronounce...its called Cheyletiella and I think its said as Kiatella(?), anyway, it was pretty common when I worked in the High desert area of California, never saw it anywhere else around LA, I could only find a couple of pictures that were all taken under a microscope but they can be seen without a microscope. It is a flat bug, looks a little like sarcopties.

Fleas can be different sizes especially if it was engorged with blood. I have seen different colors too.
