another case of an elderly person going into a home. I screwed up the red eye fix on the last photo. Poor George - has a very short amount of time. A vet has offered to take him in for the time being but George will be much better in a home...working on trying to get someone in Siamese Rescue to help out but the Colorado chapter is full

That is so sad Mary. George is so gorgeous and sweet. I hope all works out for this little furbaby. I love George cats in general. I seem to bump into them all the time. When I lived in CT, there was this big grey George cat that lived above us and Pumpkin would run up the stairs to meet her friend. Then we moved to a Buffalo apartment duplex and there was a George next door. He liked Pumpkin and Monty and would climb on the roof to greet the kids. Now we live in our own house and there's a George (Maine Coon) grey kitty across the street. He's a sweet natured little furball. I have a soft spot for George kitties everywhere! :m10:

George at this time is living alone...the person that has power of attorney in regards to the person pictured has been going in and checking on George 3x a day. He's going to let George stay alone until Wednesday in the hopes that someone will come forward and adopt George (we got him on the SiamList which has people nationwide on the mailing list). If no one does a vet has offered to "house" George until some decision can be made (I've been in touch with Dr. David...he's working hard to find George a home bless his heart). George has never had to spend any time in a cage and he's such a loving cat they are afraid of what it'll do to his personality - especially in a vet clinic being exposed to ill cats.

Poor guy. It must be so hard for pets when this sort of thing happens. Not understanding why your loving owner has suddenly disappeared. My heart breaks for him.

it's not my vet but a vet in Nebraska (although my vet's clinic does take in and homes strays after spaying/neutering and getting vaccines).

But the good news - we're working hard on helping George and Siamese Rescue in California might be able to take him  a member of Siamese Internet Cat Club (a foster also) has offered to fly and pick him up and take him there. Members have offered to help pay for the flight but she says she won't take it.....I love this stuff

looks like George may not have to go into rescue after all :y_the_best: looks like one of the masses of us at Siamese Internet Cat Club may have found him a GREAT home. They are hoping to be able to get him out tonight
