I have a question, is it normal that a dog have blood in her stool, 2 weeks after being diagnoised with parvo? it is every couple day, she acts normal, plays, eats, drinks. Sh was at the vets for a few days on IV's and was doing good when she came home, this just started on thurs. night, then nothing fri. a lil sat. nothing this morning..........I am just so worried, she is 14 weeks old and a sweety..........

I don't know. I wonder if it is similar to Parvaid. What I don't like is their site gives absolutely no concrete information whatsoever. I understand they don't want to give away their "proprietary" formula, but without even a list of ingredients, I am suspicious. Somewhere in all the advertising hype it said something about "botanical formula" - whatever that means.

It probably can't hurt, though, as long as people don't wait too long to get help if it is not working.

My thoughts exactly as usually they do give some ingredients so people are aware of whats in it.

I also agree it probably wouldnt hurt but they do not tell you how long the dog or puppy needs to be on it.

The vet called yesterday our little Bailey did not make it, we are heart broken, we just thought with her hanging on so long that she would. I am so upset and angry..........we fell in love with her the minute we brought her home, only had her 5 days, then she got sick, brought her home one night and back to the vets........we figured getting her from the Humane Society, that she would be a well puppy......since she had 2 sets of shots, then they spayed her before we brought her home, don't they think they should check them for this before they put them through the spaying? and letting someone fall completely in love with them??
Harly is doing better the vet said after all she has been through that her stomach would be very sensitive, she goes next week for a check up, keep your fingers crossed for her.

I am so sorry about Bailey! Parvo is a difficult disease. Shots don't always protect them, and the humane society would have had no way to know the pups were going to get it. They probably had no signs of it when they left the shelter and would have tested negative for it. Of course, some shelters are better than others with these things, but the parvo germs are so ubiquitous that it is difficult to protect the little ones, especially in a shelter environment.

Any shelter - good or bad - carries with it a higher risk of sick pups. The good ones do the best they can in a difficult situation.

I am so sorry to hear about Bailley, but on a positve note so glad to hear Harley is doing okay

And even though Bailey fill your hert with a few whort weeks she is now is a better place painless place

    Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I am sorry for your loss of bailey I have been coming back to check to see how she was getting along, I understand your anger this is a terrible virus which can hide in a dog or puppy only to show itself under stress of moving to a new home, vet visit anything like that.

I am glad harley is doing better :)

You are in our thoughts and prayers..

Harley is showing signs of parvo again

Thank you everyone, it has been hard and I guess trying to blame the Humane Society, and being angry is our way of trying to cope. The poem was beautiful.............what a lovely thought......
We are watching Harley like a hawk, but each day she seems to be more of a happy healthy pup, the diareea isn't as bad and the blood seems to be less eveyday...of coarse now that I said that out loud, let me knock on wood........Thanks again
