Has anyone fed their fish squid?

This guy at the lfs told me to feed my ropefish squid (since my ropefish does really eat...again). Has anyone fed their fish squid? Is it good for your fish because it really sticky and when my oscars are really greedy and get a hold of it they actually spit it out and my oscars never reject food. Lol.

I bought some stuff from the fish (food fish, not pet fish) dept of Walmart that has some squid chunks, imitation crab meat, muscles, shrimp, and some weird white chunks (can't remember what they where called). My oscars love the shrimp & muscles and occasionlly like the crab & white chunks, but they don't like the squid chunks. I think it's because the squid is too chewy.

Yeah, that's the exact way my oscars are when I put squid in the tank for my ropefish and they get a hold of it. They just gulf it and spit it back out a couple times and then leave it alone.

Give them squid if they really loves it. Back to the point, I never fed one though.. Best of luck.
