    Is it a tall hex?

Hex tanks are a lot more limiting than long, rectangular tanks. I would add another firemouth or maybe some other kind of bottom feeder like a pictus catfish. Or maybe a medium sized schooling fish like giant danios (I can't guarantee the firemouths won't eat them though).
