    LOL! Idiots.

I thought it was going to be Lab/Pekingese when I saw the subject line. I'm glad it wasn't that!

another high-priced "designer" breed mutt I'm sure.
My shelter recently had one of these (an accidental breeding most likely) listed as mixed breed with an adoption fee of $100. Bet "breeders" had 10x that.

That is crazy! I hate it when people purposefully mix dogs, and that 3 generation new breed stuff?? that doesn't sound like it could be real.
I think that we should start our own kennel club here, we'll call it AKC, but it would stand for Auspet KC! But we could make up our own breeds, and if we have more than 3 dogs (related or not) then we can name all 3 a breed!
I really wish people would stop the senseless breeding, it is so sad!
When I mention that on the small dogs forum everyone gets offended and oh my cocka shi poo nese brador is the best dog ever and if more people new about this breed more people would buy them.... When plain and simple the dog is a mutt, generally smaller than a "normal" mutt, but nonetheless a non breeding quality dog!
Anyway, I think it is funny that you thought, pekenese (sp?) not bernese!!

Which btw, I have always heard "burmese" is that the same/ or do people say burmese wrongly? Or is it one of those things like how people say "belgium waffles" when it should be belgian waffles? Just curious if anyone knows!

Everytime I look in the paper my blood boils. I've recently seen "poochi's", "jack-a-poos", "pugchi's" and a few others that I can't recall at the moment at prices ranging from $250 - $1000. :x

No wonder people at the dog park just accept it when I tell them that Freckles is an Australian Border Spaniel. I could probably get $1000 each for pups if Freckles wasn't neutered and assuming I could find a female Australian Border Spaniel.
What is amazing is that people will pay so much for a mutt when they can get them for a small fee at the rescue shelter. :D

Hey sounds like you are on to something. LOL.

The more I think about it, I honestly its a shame that all these new new fangled breeds are coming along for so much money when daily thousands of unwanted "MUTTS" are being put to sleep.

I guess the shelters need to re-think their way of writing up the mutts and making people think that they have a "DESIGNER SHELTER DOG"
