Hello, it's been awhile!

It's been awhile since I posted last. I am now taking care of my 86 year old mom who needs 24 hr. care, so I haven't had a lot of time to post like I would like to. How is everybody? Smokey,Riley,Tigger,Prissy and Boo are doing just fine. Prissy has become an inside cat since an injury last summer. She has fully recuperated, and I am afraid she is eating a little to well!She has chunked out a little bit. Oh well. I'll have to cut out the little"extras" I guess. Now,off the subject a little... My 2 daughters have bought full bred lab puppies from a breeder. The first pup had a seizure 2 days after my daughter got her at 8 wks.She took her to the vet immeadiately and the vet said all tests came back ok, but to watch for any further seizures. So far, so good. My other daughter bought her sister a couple of weeks later. Shortly after the pup's arrival, she was having diahrea, so she takes her new pup to the vet, and had her tested, and she was diagnosed with parvo!!! I know some of you have dogs as well as cats, so was wondering if any of you have any thoughts on the matter? Can any one tell me what they should expect? The other poor little puppy is still in quarentine at the vets. :cry: :cry:

first I'd be reporting that "breeder" to someone. Puppies are supposed to have their first shots and Parvo is one, and it's highly contagious. Chances are this "breeder" has it throughout her household and future puppies are at risk, along with the rest of the litter.
I would say your daughters bought puppies from a "Breeder".....unless you add Backyard in front of that. This is horrible.
My Molly (a rescue) had mini seizures when we first got her. She outgrew them. She used to standing and just kinda bob her head and a couple of times it was severe enough she would topple over. I got lucky and when I took her to the vet she had one and fell over!!!! She hasn't done that in over a year now. And she always did it when she was overly excited.
Your daughters should report that "breeder" to the state vet's office.
Parvo is dangerous but if caught in time the pup can survive....but it IS PREVENTABLE and a breeder knows that.
