I've been reading this message board for a long time and I've learned sooooooooooo much! Plus, everyone cares about everyone elses cats........I love it !

I do have a question, if I may.........I have a princess living with me, her name is Ruby Tuesday. I just adore her....but I've noticed something strange (?) about her! She turned 1 year old on June 20th, but the poor girl has no top fangs! She has her iddy-biddy top front teeth, and her back top teeth, but no top fangs! She eats well (very well !), she plays alot and doesn't appear to be in any pain. Am I worrying for nothing?

    I'd appreciate your help!
    Thanks!

Does it look like they fell out? Is there empty spaces where the fangs should be? :?

    Hi !!

No........actually her gums are smooth. She has let me put my finger in her mouth and I've rubbed her little gums, and she doesn't flinch or jerk away like it's painful. Believe me, she more than makes up for it when we're playing............she can bite like a son-of-a-gun!

    Thanks again!

It doesn't sound like theres any "trouble" per se. My grandparent's cat is missing several of his teeth and eats and lives fine. I'm not sure if/when cats loose "baby" teeth so that may be all there is to it but I wouldn't worry overly much until you notice sensitivity or trouble eating.

    Welcome to AusPet!

Thanks again for all of the answers I received about my Ruby Tuesday. It's very much appreciated and I won't get too worked up about it until I notice a change in her eating and playing habits.

I named my little girl after a Rolling Stones song, and when I play it on my stereo, I swear that Ruby can recognize her name! She's so funny! She also can catch (albeit their Pounce treats, so of course she will !), with her paws and sometimes she can catch them right in her mouth! She also plays fetch and hide and seek with me. I bought her a harness for her daily adventures in the back yard, and she has FINALLY forgiven me for putting her in that contraption! Her cord is about 15' long, so she has lots of roaming room, but at least she'll never get lost or run across the street.

Thanks again for all of your excellent advise the many months I have been reading everyone's messages!

    Stay groovy!

Now I've got to check out that Ruby Red song. But not on Morpheus. I got bugged and it cost me $166 for repairs after replacing the hard drive. This time I'm going to a pay site. Ruby sounds like a healthy, happy, and smart kitty. I bet she has a great mom!
