Jake has never been a smelly dog, lately his breath smells. not real bad but enough for me to notice it and then his skin kind of smells like sour towels. Any ideas of what could be causing this and should I get him to the vet?

    thanks

Has he been swimming lately? Duke developed a yeast skin condition because I failed to properly dry off his neck where he has those heavy skin folds. I don't think there is a relationship between Breath and skin odor. The breath may be a dental problem or digestive. With two problems I think a quick trip to the Vet may be in order. Might just taks a medicted shampoo.

Dukesdad, Jake does go swimming almost every day in our pool, and the neck area is where he smells the worse. As for his mouth, He does need shis teeth cleaned but as you say it could be digestive too. so they are probably not related. I also started giving him some salmon oil and didnt know if that had anything to do with his breath/digestive
