HELP!! My 6 years old cat has a fatty liver.

Has anyone experienced their cat with a fatty liver? My precious, Charlotte has just been diagnosed with a fatty liver. The symptoms came on so fast. She stopped eating and drinking and her nose got dry. I did not even notice that her ears got yellow. It seems to all happen overnight. The vet said her liver was fatty and gave her a steroid shot, antibiotics, something for her appetite and white thistle capsules. Does anyone know of anything else that may help? I just lost a cat to cancer about a year ago and dont want to loose my precious Charlotte. Any suggestions would be helpful. She is eating very little as she always was picky eater, only eating dry food. Thanks for your help.

 

I'm so sorry about your cat. If at all possible try and get a second opinion on how to treat the condition. Perhaps someone here has had this happen to their cat. I do know that it can be cured if caught early and also with efforts on your part to help cure her. I wish your kitty all the best.

the milk thistle will do amazing things.
The liver has the ability to regenerate itself and the milk thistle aids in that. I give it to my dog, who has liver disease, and her counts went from over a thousand down to about 500 in 1.5 years.
Did the vet also suggest a prescription diet? There is one that is geared for the liver.
