help to save my carpet!

    please anyone with any advice i would be greatful. ollie has decided to pull the carpet outside my bedroom up every moring i do the same thing i get up at 6.30 to feed him although i know he wants to come in my room he settels for food then i spray replent by the door and carpet that lasts an hour or so and hes back iv put double sided sticky tape but as soon as i take it off he does it agin i cant have tape over my carpet forever. thanks

    maybe a rubber floor mat temporarily placed over the carpet

    If the carpet is in between rooms, like where they join together maybe you could place one of those metal runners ? Not sure what there called, something like 'carpet grips' or 'grip strips', they're not expensive either.

    My cats used to do the same thing. Putting down a mat helped, but then they started yowling at the door, as well as scratching the door itself.

    My solution? I stopped feeding them first thing in the morning! Instead, I fed them just before I left for work. As soon as they adjusted, no more scratching and fussing at the bedroom door.
