I think kittens are geared to tolerate most foods. They'll eat most anything. As they get older, they get more finicky. Well, at least in my cats they do. Mine do not tolerate beef products and will throw up big time. :-& :0024: Rene does not tolerate fish products- diarrhea. I'd do slow introductions. Give Ollie the same type over a couple of days and see how he does. Over the course of the next few weeks, see which products he tolerates the best. Good luck! :m10:

Does Ollie eat only canned food or does he get dry food too?
When I was giving my cats canned food everyday they were getting about 2oz each daily. I was able to switch brands and flavors frequently without causing digestive upset since the canned food was'nt a large portion of their diet. If Ollie gets all or mostly canned food I would switch flavors slowly as you mentioned even if they are the same brand.

If you're feeding him mostly canned food I would always change flavors slowly.

i swiched busters food because he kept getting unranary tract infection and it didn't bother him, we tried swiching shadows food to the new kind too but she apsolutly refused to eat it. she's very picky while buster doesn't care just as long as hes got somthing in his bowl ( unless its wet food he hates wet food)
