HELP!!!

    :!: :?: okay...i got two new birds this weekend, one male one female...there both the same size and age. But the girl always gets right up on the boy and starts flapping her wings like shes flyng! Whats going on...are they like getting it on or what,they have absolutly no nesting material...hould we seprate them for good...we've done i for an overnight period but not for an extended period of time....thanks for ur help!

    hey, they are not getting it on they are just trying to get ajusted to their new home, it will take awhile b4 they start eating.

    Hi what your female is displaying is a dominant role and she is trying to mate with the male are you sure its the female that is doing this.

    When birds mate the male will kick the female and if she is ready for mating she will crouch down and arch her back the male will then stand on her back and you will notice he will turn is tail under hers this is him copulating as male birds do not have sexual organs.

    This will happen a few times everyday.

    A female in breeding mode will have a dark brown cere the skin part above there beak.

    If it would make you feel better to seperate the birds by putting them in different cages this is fine aslong as you put there cages near each other so they can still see and hear each other this stops them from feeling lonely
