Hi im Katie in 26 and my husband and I have a cattle/sheep farm here in Alabama. Anyways we own 6 dogs here only one of which is a lap dog. We own two Cane Corsos and a dutch shepherd dog who work the cattle and are pets the Canes are Ginger a fawn and black 4 year old female and i call her my cuddle bug she loves to try and get in my lap and give me kisses lol. Our other Cane is a 6 year old black Male named Ember he's more of my husbands dog really but is still really sweet and really work orinated. Then we have a 11 month old male Dutch Shepherd Dog dog named named Slicker. Slicker is all puppy and loving it he has alot of potential to be a great worker on the farm and is one of my favorites. We then have two dogs we use for sheep herding. First theres my 7 year old brown male Australian Kelpie named Vox. Vox like Ember is more of my husbands dog then mine and really is'nt into listening to me as much as him but other then that he's a good dog.And then theres my 5 year old Blue female Australian Kelpie named Signal she's my favorite out of the whole bunch and I love her to death. Finally theres our little lap dog alittle 2 year old female cream longhaired Chi named Sassy and was a valentines gift from my husband years ago. So i just thought i would introduce myself and say hi :D .

Hey sara I have been meaning to ask you something, the other day on Dog whisperer there was a lady with like 1000 mastiffs (really like 5-10??) but she had one that was like the color of a weimerreiner (sp?) I was wondering what type that is? Do you know? not a problem if you don't just wondering?

LOL... Likely it's a Cane Corso... If it was like a big Bloodhound with lots of skin it could have been a Neopolitan Mastiff... But either Cane Corso or a Presa Canario... Were the ears cut?

Im assuming by CCs your meaning Cane Corsos? Ember is an import from Sicily. My husband always wanted a Cane and figured them to be great cattle dogs. Ginger we bought from a man in California and bred for the same aspects we were looking for.

Here's some more pics of the Kelpies
    Heres a Pic of Signal

lol im working on it Sara im getting to the end of the kelpies lol.

Years ago our vet told us we had two perfect dogs worth breeding and so we did. We kept one puppy and that was Chase. Chase died last year after being hit by a car a tribute to Chase.

cattledog-your dogs all have such a beautiful sheen what do you feed them?
sara- I think it had full size ears, but something else odd (I thought) about this dog is that its front legs are considerably shorter than the back ones, it looked weird, this lady did a rescue thing so maybe the dogs weren't full mastiffs

Lil, you read my mind, I was thinking the same thing and was aoub to ask when I saw your post.

Katie, I didnt even know what a kelpie was into a few weeks ago. I was on petfinder and a rescue place had a lot of dogs that said were kelpie cross, so I had to look up what one was.

thanks for posting the action pics.
