my baby sister is going to be born in a month. How do I prepare my 1 year old cat for the baby noises?

I'm afraid hearing the baby crying will scare the cat!

your cat is young enough that she should quickly adjust to the baby. And congrats on becoming an older sister - should be fun for you...diapers and all

Congrats! Mary is right and Luna's got a great idea. My 4 kitties did not mind my son't crying when he was an infant although they minded him after he started crawling and chasing after them. As a matter of fact, Vene used to stay by the baby's side at all times. It was very endearing. Your cat will get used to the baby very quickly.
