Thanks for sharing. I was thinking about getting one of these too but I think Natalie would be really freaked out by the noise. If you end up trying it be sure and let me know how it goes.

This is odd bc I am getting a dremel to do engraving on stuff as favors for the wedding and yesterday Iwas thinking about posting and asking how much people cut their dogs nails. Because I think Luthers look long, but when I look at the whites they don'T seem that long, is that from me not cutting them often enough? I just get scared of that stuff! I don't want to hurt him. Do dogs really wear them off for normal walking? or do they just break off in the wild? bc Luthers neve seem to wear down?

Dogs can wear their nails down by walking on rough surfaces, like concrete. When I used to take Nala for lots of walks in the neighborhood, I never had to cut her nails.

The whole beginning of that page I posted talks about how to desensitize your dog to the dremel tool. The person writing it rescues, and she says she has always been successful getting her dogs to accept it.

Its just so much easier, I never quik my dogs when I dremel. You just stop when the maty part is soft and starts to get pink. I gave up on the regular nail clippers, I'm tired of trying to stop bleeding. Dremels unite!!!!!!!!!!! Plus you can do so many other things with the, Lil go for it.

I have the mini mite dremel that I got at petedge.com I'd like to get one more battery. It holds about two and a half nail trimming sessions, maybe three. But I like the fact I can go anywhere to use it and not be worried about a cord. We have the big mondo one too, but for nails the mini mite is good.
