I am doing a new saltwater tank

I have done freshwater tanks for a while now and want to start a saltwater tank. I have cleaned out my 30 gallon tank and and want to start a new saltwater tank. I have a filter that hangs on the back a heater. I am going to do a fish only tank. Any advice?

Find yourself a good local fish shop that can advise you on fish selection. You will need a good live substrate and a protein skimmer. Your present hang on the back filter will work fine. Look into a hydrometer for measuring the amount of salt in the water, and everyone I talk to says that you need to use bottled or Reverse osmosis water - not tap water - to start.

    Good luck!
