I brushed Vianne's Teeth for 1st time today!

Well Vianne is just over 1 year old now and after reading all these posts about kitty tooth extractions, i figured a little kitty oral hygiene was in order. So a few days ago I went and bought her a tube of Pet Dental toothpaste, a toothbrush and one of those finger brushes. She's been laying around in the sun most of the afternoon and she seemed farily relaxed, so i figured it was a good time to try. I sat her in my lap like i was about to give her a pill and i put a teeny bit of paste on her toothbrush lifted her lip and started brushing. She was EXCELLENT!! well what else did i expect from my Vianne!? haha! I got to brush all of her teeth, front and back and i think she even like it! She loves to chew on broom bristles and hair brushes so I'm not too suprised. I think the finger brush is too big for her mouth tho....her teeth are tiny! Just thought I'd share my toothy triumph with you all! :mrgreen: \/ :m10: :m30:

 

thats good i wanted to get that im sure ollie wont be as good hes fairly chilled out but i no hell jus eat hes way through the brush like Vianne he trys to eat hair brushes and brooms but he also trys evrythin else ie mop! lol!! well im gald it went good nice clean teeth 4 ur Vianne!! :mrgreen:

 

I should try to brush Zeus' teeth - hmmmm could get me into Guiness Book of World Records

I tried to brush Kyrres theet too, once... It was pretty difficult! Not because he didn't like it, but because he liked the fish flavoured thoot paste so well he couldn't hold still... He was all over the brushes, the tube, my fingers, everything! Needless to say, both me and the batroom floor smelled like fish for a long time after that... :|

 

Well I didn't taste the toothpaste and it just said Original Flavor, but it didn't smell fishy or anything. Not quite minty, but a nice fresh smell.

Well, i didn't give her any treats right after, cuz i thought that sort of defeated the purpose of the brushing. Instead, i praised and petted her and then we played ball.

 

Mary, u should try... it would make for an interesting read if u had any fingers left with which to tell us about it....
