This morning as I was walking through the livingroom I steped in this nice, soft pile of puke... :? Apparently Kyrre has had some stomach problems during the night. And guess what the reason was? A balloon  A huge, green balloon was lying in the middle of it all, along with lots of grass. I saw him eat grass the other day, and I thought it was funny because I've never seen him do it before... Never occured to me he might be having trouble, poor guy.

glad he was able to pass it on his own - balloons scare me with kids and pets

Oh, yuck. Poor Kyrre. Poor you. Glad he got it out, though. Kitties can be so disgusting but we forgive them because they are so cute!! :?

Ewww. I've had that happen, too. I guess it happens to the best of us!

It's a good thing he got the balloon out. That could've been a major problem.

I hope Kyrre's stomach is feeling better now!

It's wierd, because other than eating grass he's been acting completly normal the past few days, eating and drinking and all. It's scary to think that it could have developed into a serious problem without any warning

Kyrre puked again today... This time I found a worm in it. I felt like puking too :0024: Sendt my bf straight to the pharmacy to buy medicine, so hopfully there will be no more puking (unless Kyrre decides to eat a balloon again  )

Poor Kyrre, and Bente. What type of worm was it?

I don't know what it's called in English, but it was about 10cm long, pretty thick and white :-& (and luckily it was dead)

Acutally I tried not to look too close at it.. And no, I did not take a picture, lol!

From what I saw it looked almost like a normal worm, the kind that is used for bait when fishing. Except that it was white, and it might have been flat as well... *gross gross gross*

I was just wondering if it was a tapeworm. I remember you had some flea issues earlier and they transmit tapeworms...but I don't know if an animal would throw up an adult worm or not. :? I know you could see them in poo...Anyway those take a specific medicine. Not just a general wormer.

wow.. its fun having cats huh??? mine leave me presents all the time  sometimes they r thrown up sometimes they r still alive or they might be dead but i always get something new... as far as the trowing up worm deal... my moter in laws cat threw up a tape worm that was pretty big and had to take 3 pills to get rid of them. now, i havent ever had that problem w/ any of my cats its usually when they go potty when i see it but i have heard of other ppls cats that have thrown them up also....

Yep, Vene threw up a 9" white, flat tapeworm once. :-& :0024: Those nasty worms can get into the stomach and irritate our furbabies. I hope Kyrre is feeling much better by now.

I still have no idea what it's called in english, but it seems like the Drontal pill did it's work well. No more puke so far, and he is eating/drinking/acting like normal :D
