And thought I'd share my furkids...I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but I love sharing pics of my crew.

Lita...my Grand Old Lady at 15 1/2 (we've had her since she was a weee kitten)

Nikki...at 12 years old, sleeping in my son's football shoulder pads
    [IMG]

Halle at about 8 1/2...was rescued by us in March of 2004...such a sweetheart!

    Lexi...at about 1 1/2 years...rescued with Halle in March 2004
    [IMG]

and Marilyn..rescued at about 3 1/2 months in August 2004

Last but not least...Medea...rescued at 18 months in Feb 2001

I've been doing some reading here and have enjoyed what I've read so far. A lot of knowledgable people here.

    Thanks for the welcome everyone!

We also have three kitties at the Rainbow Bridge...Shandi, we lost her to kidney failure at age 10, Snickers at age 12 of unknown causes...he was fine when we went to bed nd must have died in his sleep that night, and my Heart kitty, Baz...lost him three days after Christmas 2003 to chronic heart disease. Did everything we coudl to help him, but it only gave him an extra month...died in my loving arms. He was my very first kitty and was MY kitty in every sense of the word.

I love being able to give a loving home to the ones that need it the most which is why we have been adopting the rescues the last few times. Halle just looked at my husband and he asked if we could keep her, Lexi picked us, also and with Marilyn, she was NOT planned...lol We saw her and that was it, she found her forever home with us. She is now as spoiled as the rest. And Medea, came from Kentucky Lab Rescue...drove 5 hours each way to pick her up...she is such a wonderful dog!

I also have a husband and two human kids, both boys ages 7 and 10...oh, and three guinea pigs..talk about a zoo!
    :D

Warm welcome  Thank you for sharing your kitties pictures. :D They are all beautiful. I especially like Nikki and Lexi, they are adorable. :y_the_best:
Indeed this group of members is very lovely. I'm new too. This is the right place to share just about anything, seek advice, get tons of knowledge about cats and have fun. In fact make new friends too. I may not contribute much in terms of advises to this forum, as I’m a new mommy to one kitty (Hugo). Have a lot of things to learn, but I try not to be a lurker by responding to any general topic/conversations. It would be nice to see you as an active member or at least semi-active
