I made up my mind and got convict instead, of piranhas.i bought four of them albino and striped convicts (male and female of each type).thanx for the help you guys gave me :y_the_best:

 

sounds nice.....hope u have fun and are ready to start getting rid of the fry b/c in no-time those fish will be breeding like rabbits....lol

Ditto. You're going to have hundreds of fry so you'd better already have a plan for them (and don't just assume your LFS will take them).

well they seem like nice fish and they wont realy breed that fast in my tank, cause the fire mouth always chasing them

 

That Firemouth chasing them around will soon turn around to the Convicts chasing or killing the Firemouth lol.

yea, a mated pair of convicts are 2 fish you dont want to mess with...lol

 

I've heard of a breeding pair of 3" convicts killing a 12" oscar. I hate to say it, but I think your firemouth is going to be history if you leave him in there.

Yeah, my 2.3'' breeding convict pair are always giving my brothers oscars are beating! I guess convicts and oscars aren't such a great combination!
