Fez my kitten is suppose to get nuetered this morning. They told me not to let him eat or drink after midnight and i totally forgot!!! I cant believe i forgot! I woke up at 6am and i remembered and secluded him, but is it to late? I'm gonna call my vet and tell them but they are not open yet. Im sure he ate and drank threwout the night.

Probably too late for this but usually with a cat neuter they are not intubated so there isnt such a high risk of vomiting. Just let the vet know, they can give them a little something to prevent the vomiting. I always used to think this was a big deal but after working in emergency hospitals and having pets go under anaesthesia at any given time Ive seen that very few of them actually vomit (which is the reason for withholding food and water...risk of choking or aspitration....as long as they are monitored well).

When kyrre was neutered I took his food away. But one time he was in for his shots the vet wanted to comb out some tangeled hair as well, and for that they needed to give him anaesthesia. She didn't even ask if he had eaten latley (which he had). Everything went well though, he threw up once after he wake up...
