Could he have gotten into drinking or eating something out of the ordinarary lately? I noticed that Booger had the squirts and caught her drinking soapy water in my sink (the basin that I keep for dishes). I now keep it dry and the smelly squirts stopped.

I don't know hun. I wish I could help. All I can think of is something he may have ate/drank. I never heard of diarreahha (sp?) as a complication from neutering. I suggest you phone your vet's office and ask as to perhaps he was exposed to something that some other animal there recently have had. The call is free and it doesn't hurt to ask.

We got some good minds here at auspets, hopefully someone will come along with a clue. Sorry I can't help much.

Is he a strictly indoor cat? If not, it could be worms. I read that diareha (sp?) can be a sign of that. Although Kyrre got blocked when he had worms... :0011:

    Good luck!

If my kitty drinks milk she gets diarrhea. Could you kitty have had some milk? Hopefully it will go away soon. Sounds like good advice to call your Vet and see what he thinks.

well im not sure what it can be....my romeo has had loose stools since i got him...doc says its probably from him having Ringworm and cat flu when he was only 6 weeks old...he said he will have it for the rest of his life..poor thing..he also has breathing troubles from it..and constanly has a stuffy nose.
Good luck at the vet..let us know what he says.

    I hope Ollie feels better.

When my cat got fixed, the paperwork they sent me home with said that my cat may not be 'regular' for several days. Could it be from the surgery? Has Ollie gone since the surgery and was it normal (before the diarreah)? My vet said it could be a few days before a cat will pass bowels after surgery. So, maybe he's just recovering?

    Good luck.

    :-&
lols...dont i know about that!!! i battled those for months with max. still am at times

i would give him a couple more days. plain chicken is good. also rice or potato mashed into his food. that helps to bulk it up. pumpkin is another one...gives fiber, and cats love it. some people use metamucil, 1tbsp in their food. or wheat bran. ive never used those things.

if it continues...i would take a fecal in. they will check for parasites, and bacteria in the stool.

good luck. he'll be okay....probably just still recovering...

Good advice guys. Is Ollie on antibiotics? Could cause running stools. It happened to Pumpkin after her teeth got extracted. I hope Ollie feels better soon! :m10:
