My female cockatiel is about 1year old. She keeps doing this thing where she pushes her bottom up against the cage and making chirpy noises. Is this because she wants to breed?

Hi yes it does sound like she is wanting to breed, When female cockatiels are ready to breed they will raise there bottom in the air and make what sounds like a quiet clucky noise.

If you reduce the amount of light she has and do not scratch her head or belly hopefully she will not lay any eggs.
