Hi I may not be much help as I only have experience with cockatiels but they do love their snowpeas and fruit like apples. I would recomend calling the nearest pet store for advice though.

why do you have a bird If you have no way of getting it food?
this is kinda of crule a bird will starve in 24 hours with no food
can you get a hold of millett it takes some time to get a budgie to try new things like veggies but my birds loves carrots try this If your bird Is still alive chop them up into small pices

I have to admit running out of seed is something I do quite often  . Fortunatly I get my seed mix from my neighbors (they buy huge bags for their birds) so I don't have to go far.

I would suggest next time you go to the pet store buy 2 bags and when you get down to one bag go out and buy another. That way you always know you have seeds.

well at least you have a way to get your bird some food in a pinch
I just hate the thought of a poor bird starving to death because of an unresponceable owner it is like a mother not buying food for her baby because it is too far away
