I need help with my Rope/Snake Fish

I have a ropefish (a.k.a snake fis, a.k.a Erpetoichthys calabaricus), and he doesn't eat the bloodworms, beefheart or small portions of goldfish left after my oscars tear them apart. Plus, I noticed that all he does is hide and his color is now a pale gray than the usually black. What should I do? Also, if know any good and helpful websites on how to care for these fish will help too.

What about the ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte?
How big is the tank and how many & what kind of fish are in it?

And BTW, oscars and long, thin fish don't make good tankmants. The oscars will probably end up eating the ropefish. And I recommend not using feeder fish any more. That's a really great way of introducing all kinds of diseases to your tank, Plus they make the tank dirty, have very little nutritional value to oscars, and goldfish in particular can cause a vitamin deficiency which could lead to HITH disease.

In my humble opinion, I believe that your oscar may be trying to eat up your rope fish sooner or later! Perhaps you may want to put in a seperate tank and see how it fares.. If not.. check if other parameters if they are missing or something.. Good Luck.
