He had his head stuck in my chain link fence! I thought he was dead when I found him. I guess he was trying to get away from something and had poked his head through the square and then spun like an alligator. I untangled him from the vines and then had to go for tools and thankfully I picked up my leather work gloves. I had to end up cutting one of the wires and bending it...he thanked me by biting a leather clad finger repeatedly and hissing at my while I worked.

I later saw him scampering through my front yard. :)

Wow, good thing you were home and saw what was happening. It's scary to think of the many ways that cats can get themselves into trouble, and it was really lucky for the little guy that you were there to save him. Way to go!

I think my neighbor feeds him and a few others. I have seen him sleeping under my truck a few times too--as long as he doesn get ON my vehicle, we're OK. I should have stuffed him in a carrier and gotten him fixed while I had my hands on him! I haven't seen him since Sunday though.

Good job and smart thinking with the gloves.

Chester once got a claw hooked in a screen door and was stuck hanging upside down. In the process of getting him free, he bit dad's thumb down to the bone and dad had to spend 2 days in the hospital getting pumped full of antibiotics.
