I think Patches has another cold

Poor Patches.... She started today by throwing up all over the paper :cry: unfortunately the bf had not gotten to that portion of the paper yet..... then later I started noticing her kinda hacking and sneezing. Now she has been curled up on the bed on my afghan so I covered her up a bit because she seemed cold to me she has been there all afternoon so far..... I wish I knew what to do for her....she does get sick alot now that she is older, she doesn't tolerate antibiotics well. :|

 

L-Lysine might be good for her. It helps build up the immune system. You can get it anywhere and it's cheap.
I give it to my older meezer. Mix in wet food - about 1/4 of a capsule. Takes a couple of weeks to start seeing any benefits but it certainly won't hurt her

 

I'll have to check into L-Lysine for her.... Need to check to see if it is ok to give with her Cosequin (for her kidney issues)

She is acting much better today I have not heard her sneeze since yesterday afternoon. She slept under the afghan all afternoon and until we went to bed didn't move except to come eat some food. Then she went out to the couch and curled up on the afghan there and she slept there all night. which is odd for her not to sleep up on the bed with us.... She was still there when I got up this am to look for her. She ate good this am yea!!

Now she is out here on the couch with me up against my legs as we speak.... she has wanted some food for dinner....

Maybe she had a weird 24 hr bug??? Maybe she needed to "sweat" it out yesterday (under the afghan...)????? Don't know.......

Thanks Sunset she is doing better yea!!! Don't think she liked this can of food though putting her nose up at it but eating some of it..... :mrgreen:

Me too she is doing much better!!! yea she always makes me nervous when she gets sick.....

 

Hi. I'm glad she's feeling better. It's tough when our fur animals get sick.
She's such a pretty girl. She has wonderful markings.
