I am getting a ten gallon tank and one red bellied newt, some people say that they dont have pumps just use bottled water.. I was wondering I have a tapwater filter called a brita would that work? and if so how often do i clean tank?

yes u can use the filter.. i have one on my tap water and use it in all my tanks..we also use the fliters for the fish tanks where i work. and personally i only do a water change whenever it looks like its somewhat getting dirty (when i do a complete water change) and i do a 20% water change every 2 weeks..
