I'm off!

Well, I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow morning so you won't be seeing me around for a while. I'm going to miss Moe so much I hate leaving her behind. I've never left her for more than 2 or 3 days, but this time I'll be gone for 17! I will be so sad to leave her tomorrow. Thankfully she will be in good hands: my sister and Olive are coming to stay at my house while we're gone.

So I thought I would let you all know that I didn't fall off the planet or anything. I will be back mid-August, and I'll probably check in occasionally while I'm away. Take care everyone!

 

Have fun Halaroo. I'm sorry you'll be missing Moe. At least she's in good hands with someone you trust Besides, Olive will keep her company as well. I'm gonna miss your posts. If you don't mind saying, where are you headed?

 

Thanks Vene. My husband, my brother and I are driving to Alberta (from Ontario). We'll be visiting friends and family in Calgary and Edmonton. Then the entire (huge) family will be attending my grandma's 80th birthday. We haven't all been together in years so it should be quite entertaining.

 

How wonderful! Happy grandm's 80th b-day! My grandma will be 90 (her birth record says 100 and she'll be getting lots of goodies from the Taiwanese gov't) next year and I'm not sure if I can go overseas to visit. My toddler may not tolerate new culture, language, and environment. I envy you. Enjoy your stay. You've got lots of catching up to do with your family and friends!

How funny is it that I almost dread going away for my vacation because I don't want to leave my cats!

It sounds like Moe will be in good hands so I guess you'll have nothing to worry about!

Hi Halaroo. Have a wonderful time on your trip. Moe will be in good hands. I'm not sure if this helps our fur babies or not, but you could call your home while you're away and have your sister put the phone up to Moe's ear and talk to her. I've always wondered if cats think we are stuck inside the phone when they hear our voice. Anyway, I hope you have a great time.

Your kitty Moe has the cutest markings on her face. Hope you have a great time on your vacation. I'm sure Moe will be fine although I understand what it's like to leave your pets for awhile. When we were on vacation in June, I reallly missed Socks and Mittens and we were only gone for around 8 days.

Hi Everyone! Thanks for all the well-wishes. The trop has gone well so far. I'm safe and sound in Calgary, but off on another road trip this morning. Driving sucks!!

Lynn - you would love my aunt's cat. She has the coolest bengal-like markings. I took some pictures so I'll try to post them when I get a chance.
