Hey everyone. I've been meaning to drop in and let you know I am okay, but I probably won't have time to drop in very often for a while. We are swamped at work with a huge project that I am learning a couple of new software packages for. It's really cool and I'm excited about it! I love learning new things. But it leaves little time for reading the boards, I'm afraid.

Also, on the homefront, we painted our house last weekend....or, enough of it to get the city people off our backs. I still think we should have painted it pink to piss off the neighbors. I am also working very hard to clean and organize inside the house. My daughter wants her own bedroom, so I am busy trying to rearrange everything. We have way too much junk in the house, so I am going through everything and throwing away or giving away everything I can (which is hard for me to do, as I am a horrible pack rat). I have piles of things in the living room to go to charity, and a table set up with piles of things that came out of the extra bedroom and will go in the basement as soon as enough space opens up there. We need to buy, build, or obtain from my parents a loft bed. My parents have one that my sister used in college, but we can't figure out how to get it from WI to KS.

Also, my kids both went to the orthodontist on Monday. My son got braces and my daughter got a palatal expander (widens the upper dental arch). She was having a lot of trouble adjusting to it. I took her back in yesterday because she had developed horrible sores on her tongue - like big, long, angry red grooves down both sides of her tongue - and the orthodontist took the appliance out. He is going to let her heal and then try again with a new appliance. I feel so bad for her! So a lot of my energy had been taken up with preparing soft foods and trouble-shooting various teeth issues and of course worry and empathy takes a lot of energy.

Grandma is in the hospital again. They don't know what is wrong. She gained a ton of water weight and got all puffy, but they have no idea why. She is doing better, but Grandpa is making a nuisance of himself (as usual) at the hospital. He yells at the nurses, which just doesn't help anything at all.

Of course I am also taking a class so I have reading to do every week. We just finished our first exam so I spent last week writing essays for it. And I have to get going on the term paper.

So that's my life in a nutshell! I'll try to drop in when I can, but I won't be able to read and answer everything like I usually do. Send me a PM or e-mail if you really need me for something. This work project will be done by December 17 at the very latest and things should slack off at some point before then.

wow, you have been busy your new projects sound exciting.

You should consider a garage sale, I sometimes watch that show how they unclutter peoples houses and they do garage sales to get rid of their stuff and they make like $500 except it is time consuming to set up.

Yeah, I don't think all the time is worth a garage sale. I'm just going to donate it and keep very good records so I can deduct it on my taxes. :)
