Well my husband's co-worker was in a bind today and I found myself puppysitting an 8wk. old pit cross (more pit than cross mind you)... Cute little guy but boy is he a pistol! Grouchy about handling and puppies being kinda rubbery and all...I was tryin' to keep my hands free of his teeth and in the process ended up with a bleeding rasberry on my chin...urgh...OUCH!

    This is Roscoe:

And here's what I got when my chin met his puppy jaws..

He had a discussion after words and there's currently a cease fire...LOL... Cute guy, I couldn't hold it against him.

Yeah we discussed the issue...I talked to the dog and then when his owner came over we discussed it a bit. He's doing good, the dog seems to be a tester of those he doesn't know though...so it'll take socialization to really put it in his head I think. I do think though, that we helped educate the kid on the issue and he took us very seriously. Hopefully he'll come to us with questions if he has any...rather than the breeders. Not good "breeders" by any means (obviously IMO)

He also had a hernia I forgot to mention...seemed pretty big about like Kabuki's so he'll probably need to get that fixed when he neuters the puppy...no doubt he'll neuter. Good kid, very responsible...I was kinda surprised considering the type of people I've come accrossed in that line of work (Peircing)... No offense to them by any means and it could be my local area...there's just a type of person who pokes holes in other people and it doesn't seem like the type to be overly responsible with pets...in fact...this kid is the first peircer I've met with pets and doing well with them. Last one I knew who got a dog was one I rescued almost starved to the point of atrophy (body eating her own muscle mass)...urgh...

Kabuki's wasn't bad, when i had it fixed it was evident it was torn. More than likely from askari... Only two of mine had hernia's. One was the first born of vaders and she carried it around by the placenta!! pup was dangling from him umblical. Other is one of kabuki's.. pretty much the same thing, only she tore the umbilical from the pup... I had it fixed already. Just waiting on him to find a home now!
