hey i have 2 lovebirds, one green peached face lovebird and another yellow peached face lovebird, ive had them for both a year you longer know, they use to be in seperate cages, but for the last month they been in the same cage, and there doing great there not fighitng or anything. but the problem is ive been noticing that my yellow one has turned more fiesty towards me and wont even let me hold it and it looks like it has a black painful sore on its bottom beak right beside the opening of it and on the one of the toes it looks like the same thing!! is it sick? what can i do to help it?

    please write back!

Single birds that are hand tame if you place them in a cage with another bird then you may find they prefer to be with the other bird rather than you.

As for the black spot i would get it checked outr by an Avian vet as it could be mites or something more serious, It may just be nothing but its best to get it checked out.

Signs of illness are sitting fluffed up either on the cage floor or sat on a perch in a corner.
Not eating and drinking, Watery poop.

An avian vet will be able to take samples and have them checked out fully.
