Isablle has always been a talker since i got her. When ever I come home she meows and tells me about her day. When I wake up she meows non stop, and threw out the day she meows, constantly. Sometimes she will sit in the hallway and just meow while I'm on the couch. I know she doesnt need anything, she has food, water, and a litterbox, and with four people living here she gets a lot of attention. I dont believe I'm encouraging her behavior, I remember when i first got her I was thinking "oh boy she meows a lot, i should ignore it" and for the most part I have, but if i want to hold her and pet her she is usually meowing when i pick her up , because she is always meowing. Anyway to get this constant meowing to stop? I dont care if she meows its just that it happens a lot!

My boyfriend is moving in and he has two cats, one never makes noise and the other is just a baby and meows once in a while. Do you think if they hear her meow all the time they might start too? I hope not, thanks for any suggestions u can give!

    I think I remember she's spayed isn't she?
Can you distract her with a toy when she starts nagging? Sounds like she has plenty to do and plenty of attention...maybe you picking her up when she's nagging is just reinforcing her meowing.
Does this cat have meezer in her? LOL if so they are talkers by nature

When Copper was a baby, I read that you are supossed to answer them when they "talk" to you. So I did. I created a monster and now he is a big talker. Maybe your cat will talk to the new cats LOL.
