    well my friend had the same problem and he bought the gravel . i guess it helpz them digest food so yeahh it will help your birds digest the food.

    Grit should be given to birds with caution as it can cause crop infaction which will result in death.

    Cockatiels and larger birds do not need grit to grind down the seed smaller birds usually do like budgies but i have never given my birds grit.
