jack dempsy hecka nice

    r jack dempsy like guppies when they have babies then can have them again without a male???

    Nope. You need a male & female each time. Also, guppies are livebearers - the female gives birth to live, fully developed young. JD's are egg layers. The female lays the eggs and the male comes along & fertilizes them.

    ma friend bougt a jack dempsey
    and the stomach feels like it jsut had babies and it stomach is fat again he only feeds it 5 small pelets daily

    What do you mean the stomach feels like it just had babies? Has he been handling it?

    she and my molly when she has babies her stomach gets like all small and stufff so shes like that and when he bought her she was in a tank with many jempseys

    So she was thin when he bought her and now's she's plumping up?

    Most lfs's don't feed their fish very much (helps keep down tank maintenance) so they do tend to be a bit skinny.

    How is she acting otherwise?
    Could you maybe post a pic?
    Are her scales sticking out?
    How big is the tank? What fish are in it? How big are they?
    Do you know the readings for ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte?

    well she was swimming in front of the tank and nex t tyme i go i will take apic of it th escales r aight 30 galoon by its self adn the water was good last tyme he cehcked
