Do you remember I was talking of changing from Innova to Natural Balance. Because of allergies, wet eye stains. well I am happy to say Sasha's eye are more more drier. Before I was wiping them quite a few times a day, now hardly at all. Maybe it was the Turkey. Not certain, but possibly.

you noticed a difference in tear staining? because I'll be getting a Maltese and I already have a white longhair chi, so this is definetly something I'd like to know about! I know there's not much to do with my chi's tear staining since they usually always get it because of the way their eyes are slightly buggy, like this  lol but I'm currently feeding my dogs Innova and whats different about Natural balance in regards to tear staining?

That's good news, puttin. Strangely enough, Nala used to have trouble with an eye discharge. I would wipe it off every morning, but it would always be there they next morning. It was a thickish white or yellow color. A few times it would turn green and the vet gave us eyedrops. Since I didn't want to be putting antibiotics and steroids in her eyes on a regular basis, I turned to homeopathy. It helped with some things, but the eye problem never went away (but it didn't get worse, either).

Then Nala was sprayed by a skunk. She got 4 hours of baths over a 2-day period. Her eyes have been discharge free ever since. Isn't that weird?

Puttin, even though Innova is a very good food, it has lots of ingedients that are prone to cause allergies. Jake was horrible on it.

Are are feeding Sasha the and potato? that is suppose to be good, I did have Jake on that one too, but finally went raw.

glad to hear Sasha is doing wo well on it

Gwen, its really a toss in the bucket as to finding the culprit to what they are allergic too. Most malts do have the staining. Have you ever gone to the maltsonly forum. I really don't like it over there, you can't offer advice if it has something to do with a product, your post never shows up. I told them where the can put their forum. Natural balance has only one meet source. Leading me to think sasha could be allergic to turkey. Good thing it was not the chicken, becuase she loves getting the chicken jerky treats I got her. I even think they look good. Its really touch and go. Many malt owners bleach with peroxide, use many products to rid the ugly rust color.
